A camp, like a small community,
having similar environmental concerns and safety problems needs to
provide adequate services to reduce the spread of communicable diseases
and/or to prevent injuries to users. The goal
of this program is to assure that camps are maintained in compliance
with state and local regulations so that a safe, sanitary, and injury-free
experience for campers is provided through inspections of camps
and education of operators.
