MRC 101

A mandatory training for new volunteers, MRC 101 is an introductory course which covers in-depth material about the Summit County Medical Reserve Corps and the state-level MRC. Participants will learn about the overall program including roles and responsiblities of volunteers and the involvement of local agencies during times of need.

MRC Volunteers are encouraged to take ICS 100 and ICS700 courses online. There is no cost for these courses and they can be applied toward the mandatory 4-hour training requirement for volunteers. Click on the links to be directed to the FEMA training website.
EXERCISES and DRILLS

The Summit County Emergency Management Agency will be having an exercise on April 29, 2009 and need approximately 200 “victims.”
The time is from approximately 8:00am - 5:00pm.  Minimum age for volunteers is 16.
