On Track to Manage Diabetes - Kickoff to "Project Diabetes" from the Diabetes Coalition of Northeast Ohio
October 14, 2008 - 7:30am-11:45am
Sheraton Suites, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio

This program will review the model developed by the City of Asheville, NC designed to improve the quality of care for diabetic employees, while decreasing the long-term costs for both the patient and employer. The program is targeted toward employers, physicians, diabetes educators, and pharmacists and will include a kyenote address by John Miall, former Risk Manager of the City of Asheville, breakout sessions for each stakeholder group and a panel discussion.

Six-week smoking cessation class utilizing the American Lung Association's Freedom from Smoking program.
The cost is $25 which will be returned at the completion of the program. Light refreshments will be served.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission needs your help to keep people safe in and around the home. They have developed the Neighborhood Safety Network Safety Tool Kit to help consumers and communities promote safety and health. There are a variety of publications, posters, checklists, and tools that can be downloaded for free and used to create a safety program in your neighborhood.
